this is one lesson that actually touched me the most since i came to rgs or rather since i entered school. this lesson is about GM CROPS whether is it able to save those people in poorly developed countries fight hunger. after reading through the notes and discussions, which is the boring part, we watched the ppt tt touched our whole class's hearts. the ppt video accompanied by sad soothing music showed us the ppl in places like south africa, euthopia, suffering hunger/starvation. the words are structured in a way that really reach into your hearts, make u feel wad u were reading, really feel. the pictures add on to the meaning. the pictures were sad, horrifying for some, gruesome and knock us into reality, of the people suffering. its really sad. u see their skinny bodies, rib cage showing, no flesh, only skin and bones. the women there were actually turning to sex crimes to earn some food? and this increases the birth rate. those babies that were born will not be able to last long and and they will be suffering and noe wad is real hunger feel likes. there was this picture where a woman was giving birth in a house, with her other child besides her and a dying relative not far off. a new live coing and one diminishing away. wad could be sadder than tt. i already feel like crying. another pic shows how selfish some people are. a skinny unclothed boy, all skins and bones, who actually queued for a long time for a bag of maize, probably his family's only food for 2 weeks or even longer. the bag of maize was snatched away by a tall guy, clothed and probably more well fed and healthier than the boy. u could see the boy agony.. it was really sad tt one could do such a thing to a boy a hungry boy. :'( they had to eat leaves, bitter tasting leaves instead of proper food like us. we had everything we wanted and they nth NTH AT ALL. please please. dun waste ur food. there are millions of people out there sufferingg and u living in confort. what u can do most is just to not waste anything. one can easily do tt. so do it.
